Punch Art

Hi Everyone today's post is of Punch art I found on http://flowerbug.typepad.com/my_weblog/ . Once I saw it I had to make it for one of my friends that is a BIG Giraffe lover.
I made this card for a friends baby shower... I know you probably saying for a baby shower what does it have to do with that but like I said she is a big giraffe lover and she loved the card.
I will have to redo this card so I also have a copy of it, and since I did not use Stampin' Up!'s card stock on this card it would turn out different but most likely better since there is just no comparison on SU!'s card stock to others I have used.
The punches used for this were all from SU! Hope you like it. See you soon.

Stained Glass Technique

Hello everyone. It has been some time since my last post. I don't really know how that happened but I do have a post today.

This is a card I made for a swap. It uses the Stain Glass technique. In this technique the image is embossed on Vellum paper and then I turned it over and coloured on the back side of the image. I did this using Stampin' Up!'s Classic ink pads and a blender pen. It is actually very simple and I love the end result.

The Card Stock used is Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry and a Whisper White.

The ribbon is also for SU! and it is the Organza Ribbon. I love this ribbon and will most likely using it a lot.

The stamp sets I used are SU!'s One of a Kind and also the new stamp set this year, Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Hope you like. See you again soon.

Babies, Babies every where!!

So this has been a very busy week when it comes to babies. Two of my friends had a baby boy on Sunday and Monday this week. Then last night we get a call from my brother-in-law saying they were going to have their baby tomorrow. Wow.

These cards I have made for welcoming the babies home. They are made by using Cuttlebug embossing folders run through the Big Shot. Yes you can use them through the Big Shot.

I didn't use any Stampin' Up! supplies on these, the reason being I am waiting on a shipment of card stock so I didn't have any here to do these up. I must admit I really have noticed a difference in Card stock. The card stock I used I got at Michael's and it just does not measure up to the card stock that Stampin' Up! has. The Michael's card stock is much more flimsy and does not hold up to much at all. Also Stamping on this card stock does not leave a true impression. I have always had trouble with stamping on this card stock and didn't know that you could actually get an image to come out clearly and evenly until I got into Stampin' Up!

This is a very simple card that takes no time at all to make. I purchased the ribbon from Walmart. I love this ribbon it really adds something to the cards. Hopefully they will be well received.
I will be back soon with a special announcement so stay tuned.

Big Shot Flower

Hi Everyone. After some computer problems I am finally able to get on here and post a card.

I received some new goodies on Friday from Stampin' Up! and started playing around with the Sizzix Daisies #2 Die for the Big Shot. I curled up the edges and liked the result so I had to put it on a card.

The flower has 3 layers from the new Stampin' Up! In-colour Mellon Mambo with only one layer curled up on the 2 bigger flowers and all three layers of the smallest flower. The Base of the card is Crushed Curry cardstock and the Top Note was cut out of another In-colour Bermuda Bay Card Stock. The leaves were cut out of the Old Olive card stock and the sentiment is from the One of a Kind stamp set.

Please share with me what you think of this card. Thanks and see you soon.

Happy Birthday

Good evening everyone,

Well I hesitated in posting this card today due to the fact that it uses 2 retired stamp sets. In the end I decided to do so as a reference to those that might have these sets or to use the idea on another project.
The butterfly has been stamped in StazOn ink and then I used the blender pen to add the different colours on its wings.
I used the Seeing Spots stamp in Garden Green ink on Garden Green Card stock. The image is stamped on Whisper White card stock and matted on a piece of Certainly Celery Card Stock.
Hope you like it and see you again soon.

Colour Challenge

Hello everyone!

Well as promised here is one of the first cards I did as part of a colour challenge put out by my wonderful upline. The challenge was to use the colour more mustard and any purple.

My card uses the Stampin Up! stamp set Simple Friendship with Perfect Plum and Lavender Lace Card stock along with a piece of the More Mustard card stock.

The butterfly was stamped with Perfect Plum ink on Whisper White card stock and cut out. I absolutely love purple so I just had to participate in the challenge. However the More Mustard did throw me for a loop but in the end it turned out.

Hope you like it. Have a great afternoon.

Hello Bloggers!

So I have been thinking of doing this for a while now. To become a blogger!!! What! Really, it can't be. Well it is, and here I am.

This blog is for me to show you my card creations. Hopefully that I created of my own but a lot might also be cased of the creations I have seen on other blogs or at Stampin Up! workshops I have been to. This is hopefully a place people can come for inspiration in their own creations as well as get information on what Stampin Up! has to offer.

I hope you will join me and enjoy the things that you see and please don't hesitate in leaving me a comment or two as I hope I learn and grow as time goes by.

I will try to post a creation tomorrow but for now I bid you all a great night.
