Another Birthday

Wow! I had no idea that August was a busy month for birthdays until I started making cards for everyone. Here's the one that I made for my sister-in-laws birthday.

It is a very easy process for this one. I punched out various different circles out of a piece of scrap paper and used my sponge daubers and ink to fill in the circles. I started with the lightest colour pink that I had (pretty in Pink) then I kept turning and flipping the scrap for each colour.

Colours used were Pretty in Pink, Cameo Coral, Regal Rose and Rose Red. The dotted circle is a stamp in the stamp set Circle Circus and is stamped in Melon Mambo. The picture is not the best but I do like the result, I hope you do to.

Have a great day!

For a Friend

Hello every one. Today's card that I will show you is using the technique Polished Stone. I changed this up a bit as usually you would add in some Metalic ink but I don't have any yet so I just skipped that step.

The stamp set is Priceless. It is funny that I thought that this stamp set was one that I would not use so I didn't get it originally. The best thing about this set that as one of the perks from being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator I actually got this FREE. Yeah!! Got to love Free! Email me if you would like to have a chance to earn FREE products from Stampin' Up!

The Stamped images are stamped in the in-colours this year. They are great! Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo, and Soft Suade are the 3 in-colours that I used.

The Polished Stone technique uses your reinkers and glossy card stock. I love how this turned out as you can see I did it twice for this card. One in pinks and the other in Purples. (the oval around the greeting) I used 3 shades of each colour group to create the look.

Hope you like it and see you again soon!

Another week....

Well this post I tried to get on here yesterday in between storms but was unable to do so since we had a very intense storm when I was finally able to get on to post. So Sad. The storm was such an interesting light display and the rain was just coming down.

The weekend is over which I am only somewhat glad that it was since it was busy with my hubby out of commission with a chest infection. So it was hard with a two year old to actually get away and do some crafting. Now I am at work today but thought I would get this posted for all of you out there and then get back to work.

The following is a copy of all the dress cards that I have seen out there. Unsure of the original creator but I just knew one day that I would make this for someone. A friend of mine has her birthday this week so I thought I would make it for her. She is a very good dresser (a lot better then me) and I believe she loves to dress up. So I feel this would be well received by her.

Sorry it is not a very good picture as it seems to be very dark.

Stamp set used is On your Birthday
Cardstock is Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry

I used one of the flowers punched with the Trio Flower punch for the flower which I attached with a silver brad.

The ribbon that I used was just some ribbon that I had lying around from before I was a demo but it seemed to match the Melon Mambo colour beautifully so I used it for the card. The Dress was also paper that I had around from long ago and since I don't have any designer paper yet I used it.

On the inside I used another stamp from the on your birthday stamp set that reads "wishing you the happiest birthday yet.

I hope you like it.

YEAH its Friday!

Hello Everyone

Happy Friday to all.

I thought I would come on here quickly and let you know what I have been up to and the reason there has not been an post in a very long time. So sorry about that.

I have been very busy making some more card swaps for Heather Summers down line which I am one of. This swap is Christmas/Winter theme and I am having a hard time being creative and unique with this one. I am actually second quessing myself when it comes to participating in this swap since I don't have too much in the way of Christmas stamps, but I thought this would be the best way to get ideas to share with others on classes and workshops and learn something for myself. After the swap has been done and the others have received their swaps I will share with you what I ended up using as my swap card. This should happen sometime in the next few weeks so stay tuned and I will post it here for all to see.

I have also been trying my hand at watercolouring. I have always liked the look of the watercolouring that I have seen others do but I have not been able to make mine look anything close to it. I am trying different things with this to see if I can get it right or as close to right as possible.

I will try to share with you a card in the next few days. I have some ideas in my head of things I could do, I just have to get it onto paper! I hope you are having a wonderful day and see you soon...I promise.
